Colour without colours
"The dancer paints enchanting movements in the space. In Chinese Buddhism, 'color' apparently means 'form' in many respects, which are brought into flow here."
-Luzerner Zeitung
Concept
The initial inspiration for this dance solo comes from the concept of "color" in Chinese Buddhism, derived from the Sanskrit word "Rūpa" (Devanagari: रूप ), which is understood as "form" and refers to any type of object. The choreographer explored the idea of an object surrounded and permeated by colors, absorbing and reflecting them, but never fully embodying them. This performance is a bodily dialogue between past and present, transformation, and wishes for the future.
